Present: Patty Wente, KWMU (President); Christina Kuzmych, WFIU (Secretary); Dan Skinner, Texas Public Radio (Board Member No. 1); Al Bartholet, WKSU (Board Member No. 3) Dorie Vallillo, WIUM (Treasurer);
I. Meeting began at 2:30 E.T.
II. PRIMA Board Retreat
The PRIMA Board retreat will take place November 16 and 17 in St Louis. PRIMA is reimbursing travel and hotel. 6 p.m. is the dinner time. Meet in the lobby at Chase at 6 p.m. Breakfast at 8 a.m. Work from 8 to 4 on Friday. Much of the discussion will revolve around topics covered at the fall meeting. Patty asked for agenda items and structure for the retreat. Patty gave a report of activities revolving around the other public radio regionals. The questions we should ask at this retreat: As we move into the future, what will stations need from their Regionals? What services should we provide? The relationship between NPR and stations was discussed, in terms of where it is now, and where it will head in the future. It was decided that this should be one of the topics.
