PRIMA BOARD MEETING
April 25, 2023
In attendance:
President: Paul Maassen – WWNO
Treasurer: Regina Dean – WUOT
Dan Skinner – Kansas Public Radio
Stephen Williams – WMUK
The meeting began at 2:36 pm ET
Regina and Dan discuss turning over their duties as they leave the board. Regina will finish her treasurer duties and send the appropriate treasurer’s documents to Paul. Dan will finish website revisions and additions to membership listings and provide login credentials to Paul to pass them on to whoever takes over as webmaster. Regina Dean officially retires from WUOT on 5/5/23. Dan Skinner officially retires from Kanas Public Radio on 6/30/23.
Paul and the board members present discussed planning for the PRIMA Annual Membership meeting. This includes forming a selection committee; preparing a slate of candidates; board approval of the slate; announcing the slate to the membership 30 days in advance of the annual meeting to allow for nominations from the membership up to 15 days before the meeting. Potential candidates for open positions were briefly discussed.
Paul announced that the Public Radio Regional Organization (PRRO) Group is planning a Leadership Summit in conjunction with the PRPD Conference. The Leadership Summit would be held just before the beginning of the PRPD Conference.
