Media Writer\/Producer\/Announcer II (Local Editor\/Co-Host)<\/strong> Description:<\/p>\n\n\n\n NPR Illinois<\/a> is based at the University of Illinois in the capital of Springfield (90 minutes from St. Louis, and 3 hours from Chicago\/Indy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n A driven, credible co-host is needed for a daily, local\/regional news hour. This person will be responsible to identify top issues for each day’s program, schedule newsmaker and expert guests, co-host the hour, then repackage into audio clips for newscasts and write up web posts for social sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They will also edit\/coordinate freelance reporters and volunteer citizen journalists as contributors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Position is targeted by the university at an annual salary of $50,000 with full benefits.
