I. Christina Kuzmych\u2019s report from the NPR Board Meeting:<\/p>\n

a. This was Gary Knell\u2019s first as President.<\/p>\n

b. NPR\u2019s guiding principles for journalism \u00a0were presented.<\/p>\n

c. Joyce McDonald is now in the President\u2019s office as VP, Member and Audience Partnership.<\/p>\n

d. Kinsey Wilson has been promoted to Executive VP and Chief Content Officer.<\/p>\n

e. Margaret Low Smith is promoted permanently to Senior VP, NPR News<\/p>\n

f.\u00a0 PRRO Group:<\/p>\n

i. Gary Knell expressed satisfaction with representation in NPR and stressed his own robust activities in the area of representation.\u00a0\u00a0 There was no indication of structural changes.<\/p>\n

ii. It was noted that Gary Knell and Pat Butler have a long collaborative history of \u201cworking the Hill\u201d on public broadcasting issues.<\/p>\n

iii. Mike Riksen was not at the meeting but has said that Gary Knell is very active in legislative visits.<\/p>\n

II. Super Regional Conference:<\/p>\n

Conference will probably take place at the New Orleans Marriott on November 13-16, 2012.<\/p>\n

III.\u00a0It was noted that many of the questions asked at the CPB Dynamic phone sessions held last month centered around the topics of station consolidation and advisory boards.<\/p>\n

IV.\u00a0SRG has distributed a draft of ethics for station behavior.<\/p>\n
