Present for the call were Christina Kuzmych, Dan Skinner, MG Herrington, Karen Olstad, Regina Dean, Cleve Callison, \u00a0Paul Massen and Tom Hunt.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Fundraising messages on nationally distributed programs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"paragraph\">Concern about bypassing stations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"paragraph\">Concern about timing \u2013 conflicts with local fundraising<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"paragraph\">Concern about strategy and context<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"paragraph\">On-air appeals during a program \u2013\u00a0<em>Prairie Home Companion<\/em>\u00a0example<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"paragraph\">Email appeals to show subscribers \u2013\u00a0<em>On Being<\/em>\u00a0example<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"color: #000000;\">Action: Cleve recommended Christina discuss in the PRRO (Public Radio Regional Organizations) group and WSPR (Western States Public Radio) group to determine if there is consensus and if so how to address as a group.
