{"id":1135,"date":"2015-02-11T14:20:56","date_gmt":"2015-02-11T19:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.prima.org\/?page_id=1135"},"modified":"2018-03-02T14:36:39","modified_gmt":"2018-03-02T19:36:39","slug":"prima-conference-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/wordpress.prima.org\/?page_id=1135","title":{"rendered":"PRIMA Conference Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph\" align=\"center\"><strong>APPLICATION DEADLINE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" align=\"center\">March 16, 2018 at 5 pm ET<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\"><span class=\"paragraph\"><strong>BACKGROUND<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>PRIMA is offering\u00a0two full scholarships and two partial scholarships for eligible PRIMA and non-PRIMA General\/Station Managers\/CEOs to attend the 2018 PRIMA Spring Conference, May 9-11, in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FULL SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0FULL SCHOLARSHIP waives the conference registration fee; for current non-members of PRIMA, membership dues for one year ($200) are also waived. The FULL SCHOLARSHIP also provides a subsidy to cover air and ground transportation, lodging and meals. The full scholarships reimburse up to $1,000 for actual expenses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP also waives the registration fee and (if applicable) a year\u2019s dues in PRIMA, and provides a limited subsidy to apply toward transportation, lodging, and meals. The partial scholarship reimburses up to $500 for actual expenses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MAXIMUM MAY BE SET<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PRIMA Board reserves the right to set a maximum amount to be awarded for the scholarships, determined by need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preferably the applicant\u2019s CPB qualified station will be located within the <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.prima.org\/?page_id=7\">PRIMA region<\/a>, though this requirement may be waived by the Board. The scholarships may be awarded on the basis of need or as encouragement to first time attendees. Applications are especially encouraged from stations that cannot afford to send their manager to a PRIMA conference or stations whose licensees do not pay for the managers\u2019 travel. Applicants are not eligible if they have received a scholarship within the last two years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants for the PRIMA scholarships must submit a letter of application by e-mail (see below) no later than Friday, March 16th, 5:00 PM ET. Alternatively, by March 16th, any PRIMA member may nominate a manager of an eligible station to receive a scholarship.
